The standard Audi Q8 engine is the familiar 3.0L 48V lightweight V6 hybrid. It produces 355 relaxing horsepower and 369 lb/ft of torque via an 8-speed transmission and all-wheel drive Quattro. The power delivery is adequate but hardly attractive with the V6. Power plants prefer a smooth and gradual increase in rpm rather than stepping on the pedals to increase speed.
Regardless of size, the Q8 angle is flat with relaxing inputs. The large, thin-framed steering wheel helps encourage the driver to perform each action with little effort. This 2023 Audi Q8 base features a standard suspension system, but air suspension is available in higher trims. The ride’s quality will improve with the air suspension, but the Q8 doesn’t need it.
Audi is pleased to offer the V8 engine on the smooth SQ8 and the radical RS Q8. If Audi’s latest introduction shows anything, the Q8 is a flagship vehicle that paves the way for other brands to follow suit. For the newest generation of the Audi lineup, this is one of the most desirable vehicles to lead.
